Right after the first teaser, Olympus continues to follow Nikon’s and Canon’s playbook and setup a countdown timer for the official presentation of the OM-D E-M1X:
It’s likely that more snippets, images and videos will be released over the coming weeks which we will dutifully report. Recall that the official presentation of the OM-D E-M1X will take place on January 24, 2019.
To wet your appetite, here are the rumored specs of the OM-D E-M1X (some of which may classify as wishful thinking…):
Most people will swallow hard with this last item. Currently the most expensive MFT camera would be Panasonic’s GH5s (around $2.300). The E-M1X is aimed squarely at action, sports and wildlife photogs who have plenty of full frame cameras to choose from.
Compare the sensor sizes (just to rub it in…):
Also, the longest lens for MFT is Olympus’s own Zuiko 300mm F4 Pro (around $2.500). If you need more reach, a TC is the only way to go.
