Today, 91mobiles published new images of the forthcoming Nokia 9. Designated as “official renderings”, the photos confirm previously leaked information about the arrangement of the five cameras on the back:
The “Penta” camera is the one distinguishing feature of the smartphone that was created in collaboration with German optics legend Zeiss:
Visible are five optical systems, augmented by a flash LED and another opening, very likely for the laser AF module. No further details regarding the resolution and focal length of the cameras are available but it’s widely assumed that the system will feature a 3-5x optical zoom.
The rest of the phone devlivers what you would expect from a 2018 / 2019 Android flagship phone: Snapdragon 845, 6″ QHD+ Display, USB-C, under-glass fingerprint reader, 6-8GB RAM and Android One. Compared to the back, the design of the front is more 2017-ish: No notch, no hole-punch selfie cam, substantial bezels.
The official presentation of the Nokia 9 ist expected during the MWC in Barcelona on or around the 24th. No word so far on pricing..
